Applications for Philippine air traffic course starting ..

Iloilo City (5 October) -- The Civil Aviation Authority of the
Philippines is now accepting applications from those interested to get
the examination to select trainees for the 4th Comprehensive Air
Traffic Service Course.

Iloilo Airport Area Manager Efren Nagrama said in an announcement sent
to the Philippine Information Agency that the course will be conducted
at the Manila Civil Aviation Training Center in Pasay City and
graduates will qualify for the position of Air Traffic Controller or
Airways Communicator.

Nagrama said that applicants who passed the competitive examination,
interview and medical/physical examination will be trained by the CAAP
at no cost, however, there will be no allowance or other form of
compensation during the training period.

Qualified to take the examination are those not more than 28 years old
on the day of the examination; must be of good health and of good
moral character, and free from any physical defects; preferably EE,
ECE or Computer Engineering graduate with good command of oral and
written English and must be Computer literate; and preferably Career
Service-Professional.

Iloilo is one of the venues identified for the examination set on
October 23, 2010. Others are Baguio, Cotabato, Dumaguete, Legazpi,
Mactan, Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran, Zamboanga, and Manila.

Applications forms are available at the Air Traffic Services Facility
In-charge of the different airports in Western Visayas such as in
Iloilo, Bacolod, Caticlan, Kalibo, Roxas and Antique.

Completed application form and other requirements must be submitted to
the Personnel Section of CAAP Iloilo Airport in Cabatuan, Iloilo not
